Couples Therapy Specialist

Our relationships are the most important parts of our lives, but most of us don't have the quality of relationships we desire. Our society gives us too few examples and little support to know how to make relationships work. We only have idealized versions to live up to that are unrealistic and make us feel worse.

All relationships take work, but how do we do it?

Thats where I come in. Couples therapy is about learning what our relationships need and how to make it happen. I support clients in the healing, repairing, and connecting that lasts.

I specialize in helping couples who:

  • Identify as LGBTQI
  • Have partners with histories of trauma or abuse
  • Have one or more partners with ADHD or Autism
  • Are in family planning/fertility and perinatal phases of life
  • Want to address Sex and Intimacy
  • New parents trying to establish Egalitarian Parenting / Fair Play
  • Interested or experienced with Polyamory/ ENM
  • Struggle with Anxiety and Mood Regulation
  • Working to recover from betrayal

FAQ

Not directly. I am not on any insurance panels and I do not bill insurance. As a licensed out-of-network provider I can present invoices (superbills) that may be submitted for partial reimbursement for many insurance plans.

Sessions are offered weekly or every-other week.

Less frequent sessions are offered as available  from my cancelation list.

We work together to set goals and expectations unique to you. Each length of therapy is different. I offer both brief and long term options.

Yes! Its is important we meet before beginning therapy.  For our first meeting, I set aside up to 30 minutes to meet with potential new clients. These initial consultations are  offered on-line via video session only.  You may ask me any questions you'd like.  I will ask you a few questions to assess if I can effectively address your goals, and determine if you would be a good fit for my practice.  For couples, all members should plan attend the initial consultation together.
